Jeet Kune Do Concepts
Originally developed by Bruce Lee and his entourage (which included Filipino experts such as Richard Bustillo and
Dan Inosanto), JKD Concepts borrow from many different disciplines such as Muay-Thai, Kali, Boxing, Fencing, Judo,
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Shooto Wrestling, Wing Chun Kung-Fu and others.
They form an art that is always evolving and based on
simplicity, economy of movement, power, and non-traditional applications. This
fluid art covers the four ranges of combat: kicking, punching, trapping and
grappling, as well as weapons training.

Muay-Thai
This 2000-year-old system, born in Thailand is by far the most formidable style of kickboxing in the world today.
Muay Thai boxers kick and punch and are permitted to use elbow and knee strikes as well as powerful leg kicks, unlike
their US counterparts where such techniques are outlawed.
Thai fighters are feared around the world because of their incredible physical conditioning and their ability to deal
such powerful blows. Thai fighters are very rarely beaten in the ring by Westerners! Most fights with foreigners end in
the first round by knockout.
Our Muay Thai curriculum comes from Kru Vut Kamnark, of Thailand, President of the United Muay Thai Association.

Boxing
Our training methods concentrate on teaching you how to properly develop boxing attributes plus give you a great workout.
We start each class with warm-up and stretching, continue with calesthenics and then work on basic footwork drills,
boxing combinations, defense and counters, sparring drills and much, much more! |
|
Kali/Escrima/Filipino Martial Arts
Our weapons curriculum is derived from the stick and knife fighting taught by the legendary GrandMaster Cacoy Canete.
We learn how defend against blunt and bladed weapons and also build conditioning with stick-fighting drills and sparring.

Intro Kickboxing
Students will use a variety of equipment and striking pads and bags to develop power and accuracy. There is no
sparring in this entry level class. We always promote safety first. Men and women alike love this non-traditional
class set to music. It's definitely a fun and effective way to burn lots of calories to help you lose weight! |
